Jubilee Advancement

2nd December 2016

The latest recruit to join Jubilee Mark Lodge No 375 is Richard Green “Wol” Wilcock.
Les Preston, David Smith, Richard Wilcock and Alan Jones.
WM David Smith had shown great powers of delegation in requesting Les Preston and Alan Jones to undertake the ceremony of advancement.

Les undertook the first part of the ceremony with Alan, who has just accepted grand rank in the RAM degree, taking over for the rest of the advancement.

Guiding Wol through the ceremony was senior deacon Harry Gilgour who was assisted by junior deacon Chris Gray.

It proved a superb display of ritual with the occasional smile thrown in for good measure as befits the friendly degree.

Wol will undoubtedly prove a good member of the order as he is keen and enthusiastic about all he does.
Chris Gray, Richard Wilcock and Harry Gilgour
He is the Furness and South Lakeland group charity steward and has gained a reputation, or even notoriety, for his eagerness to sell pledges, ties etc. in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival. Indeed I am told some Masons have taken to sticking “no cold callers” signs on their briefcase to try and ward him off! In addition to those responsibilities Wol is the acting Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in the craft. He puts in many miles and hours in that role.
